The name’s Dux, Frank Dux…

Last week it was announced that Jean-Claude Van Damme is planning to reprise his role as the superbly named Frank Dux in a sequel to Bloodsport– possibly the greatest of all the JCVD films.

Being something of a pointless action film connoisseur, I got very excited by this fact and instantly started recalling my encyclopedic knowledge of Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgrem et al with furious vigor, wowing Chad colleagues with my awe inspiring knowledge.

And so (tenuously), this leads me on to of my favourite aspects of watching such superb examples of action cinema – the sheer imagination that went into naming the big screen icons I now love so tenderly.
